New Music – The Black Ties – Something about you. Produced by GB Collective

The Black Ties have just released a new single called “Something About You” a cover originally done by the UK Pop-rock Jazz Funk band Level 42. The song was released in 1985 and TBT have given it their classic soulful and warm touch for 2013 re-release. Something About You is produced by a friend of the Stereotype Records family, GB Collective. Who has produced songs such as “That Would Be All” with Chad Saaiman as well as “Perfect Viewthe Heartbeat Café song featuring Melissa Allison.

The approach was soulful, warm and minimalistic, and maintained a great level of respect for the original version. The Black Ties recorded the song between Cape Town and Jhb, between 2 studios.

Lookout for more music from the act coming out later this year, and keep your eyes open for movements in Jhb, as the boys will be based there for the rest of 2013.
